Every year we conduct over 200 tests of armor materials in our in-house ballistic laboratories to ensure that components of each vehicle meet the highest standards of quality, but these tests are just the beginning. Sound materials do not necessarily mean a sound system and it is for this very reason that Carat/Centigon invests heavily in the certification of complete armored vehicle solutions.

These tests validate the design and manufacturing excellence that goes into each vehicle we produce and what we learn helps improve products from every division. The Carat/Centigon teams work with the world's most respected test facilities including:

   • German National Ballistics Testing Laboratory - Independent certification under BRV 1999 spec
   • HP White Labs - U.S. based independent ballistics testing laboratory
   • QinetiQ - World leader in defence services solutions
   • Tűv - Independent safety and quality documentation

   • 2005 Chevrolet Suburban - VR7 - (Beschussamt Mellrichstadt BRV 1999)
   • 2000 Nissan Patrol - VR6 - (Beschussamt Mellrichstadt BRV 1999)
   • 2010 Jaguar XJ - (QinetiQ Blast, confirmed during joint development with Jaguar)
   • 2006 Land Rover Range Rover - (QinetiQ Blast, confirmed during joint venture with Land Rover)
   • 2010 Land Rover Discovery IV - (QinetiQ Blast, confirmed during joint venture with Land Rover)
